As of Thursday, the average resale ticket price for this year's game is higher than the three previous championship games. In 2024, the average resale ticket price on SeatGeek was $2,424, $1,549 in 2023, and $1,226 in 2022.


The starting price on SeatGeek as of Thursday stood at $1,817 with fees, which is similar to the prices on other platforms such as StubHub and GameTime.


Chris Leyden, director of growth marketing at SeatGeek, mentioned that this year's game is shaping up to be the most sought-after in the platform's history, driven by the passionate and dedicated fan bases of both Ohio State and Notre Dame.

StubHub reported that ticket sales for Monday's game were tracking 85% higher than last year at the same time. Sales had already exceeded the final sales figures for all championship games on the platform from 2019 to 2023.


The average ticket price of over $3,000 to attend the championship game on SeatGeek far exceeds the average ticket prices for each team during the season. The average resale ticket price for attending an away game for Notre Dame was $281, and for Ohio State, it was $304.
